The DeVale 7400 series bulb & capillary thermostats offer a two (2) sensing bulb design. This is a unique poduct line that offers a broad range of temperature management in numerous applications. One bulb is used to activate a primary set of electrical contacts when a predetermined temperature range is obtained and, will self reset to control the applied temperature within a specific temperature range. The second sensing bulb is used as a manual reset fail safe and can be independently located within the application and calibrated to a predetermined temperature as required by the specific application. Once the fail safe is activated the device will remain inactive until the manual reset button is depressed.
The principles of operation allow this design to be surprisingly cost effective and a leading choice for use in many applications where precision sensing is required with the added security of the manual reset limit function. The thermal and mechanical characteristics are similar to the 2400 and 33400 series. When temperature rises, the internal fluid located within the bulb expands through a capillary tube to an expandable diaphragm that is configured within the remote thermostat body. This diaphragm assembly activates the electrical contacts at the calibrated temperature set point.
Standard calibration range from 0 degrees C through 320 degrees C. Optional higher temperatures available upon request. Control body rated at 125 degrees C maximum.
