Description:

The DeVale DVU-S2 thermal protector series is a surface mount open frame design primarily used as an overheat protector in numerous household appliances and heater applications. These controls offer a high amperage switching capacity and were designed to activate a set of electrical contacts when exposed to elevated ambient or surface temperatures. The exposed bimetal blade element offers a high degree of switching accuracy.

The DVU-S2-1 design offers a built in PTC heater pill that provides a manual reset operation. This "self-hold" function is activated when the controls calibrated temperature is reached at which time the heater pill is energized allowing continuous heat to pass through the control. The heating function will remain in operation until the user disconnects the power source.

Temperature Range and Tolerance:

Standard calibration range from 65 degrees C through 160 degrees C. Optional higher temperatures available upon request. Control body rated at 150 degrees C continuous maximum temperature exposure.
